Event Dates & Pre-Schedule

Friday, March 29

• 5:00pm ADCC rules seminar led by head judge Peter (free and open to everyone, HIGHLY encourage all competitors and coaches to attend)
• 7-9pm Mandatory weigh ins for all competitors, even if your division does not have a weight limit (must bring proof of citizenship to weigh ins, view requirements here)

Saturday, March 30 - please arrive at least 2 hours before your division is scheduled to start

• 8:00am Doors open
• 9:00am Matches start, beginning with -88kg
• 11:00am -66kg
• 1:30pm -77kg
• 4:00pm All remaining brackets
• Male brackets compete until the round of 64 is complete, female brackets compete until the round of 32 is complete.

Sunday, March 31 - please arrive at least 2 hours before your division is scheduled to start

• 10:00am Doors open
• 11:00am Matches start, round of 32
• 12:30pm Round of 16
• 1:30pm Quarterfinals
• 2:30pm Semi finals
• Bronze medal matches
• 5:00pm Finals

This pre-schedule is only an estimate. Match order and mat assignments will be published once brackets are released.

Brackets

An hour or so after weigh-ins on Friday night, brackets will be published at this link: https://arena.flograppling.com/event/cfdf0f19-29f8-49ca-8a0f-affe4cfc10b8

This link will always be the most accurate, up to date way to check your bracket, bout number, and mat.Each match will be labeled with the mat number and bout number. Examples:

• 206 means Mat 2, and you are the 6th match
• 846 means Mat 8, and you are the 46th match

Please be at your mat at least 5 matches before your number. So if your match is 206, you must be at your mat once 201 is on the mat.

Registration

$125 USD to register.

Athletes may only sign up for one division.

Citizenship Requirement

North American Trials, including West Coast Trials, are ONLY open to those who can show proof of citizenship in a qualifying country: List of Qualifying Countries

Important Dates

Sunday, March 24 @ 11:59pm:

• Last day to cancel for a credit (no refunds). No exceptions will be made after this deadline.

Wednesday, March 27 @ 9:00pm:

• Registration closes (individual divisions may close early if they reach the max capacity, whichever happens first).
• Last day to make registration corrections.

Thursday, March 28:

• Pre-schedule will be announced.

Saturday, March 29 before the tournament starts:

• Brackets will be published on FloArena.

All times are in local time of PDT.

Capacity

Each division has a maximum capacity of 256 competitors.

Multiple divisions have reached capacity before the registration deadline, so make sure to sign up as soon as possible to ensure your spot!

Mandatory Day-Before Weigh Ins (at the venue)

Friday, March 29 from 7-9pm at the venue.

This will be the ONLY weigh ins option, no exceptions.

If you do not weigh in promptly by 9pm on Friday, March 29 - you will be removed from the competition with no refund or credit.

There is a .5kg allowance. If you miss weight beyond this, you will be disqualified and removed from the competition, no refunds or credits, no exceptions.

ALL competitors must weigh in, even if your division does not have a weight limit.

You will receive a wristband for Trials when you weigh in. This wristband is good for both days. Do not lose this otherwise you will need to purchase a spectator ticket to get back into the event.

Cancellation Policy

Registration fees are non-refundable. Registered competitors who are unable to compete for any reason may request credit for the full amount paid until the cancellation deadline listed above.

Divisions

Winners from all 8 divisions will earn their spot to compete in the ADCC World Championships in August 2024.

Open to competitors age 14 and above.

Men:

• -66.0 kg
• -77.0 kg
• -88.0 kg
• -99.0 kg
• +99 kg

Women

• -55.0 kg
• -65.0 kg
• +65 kg

Format

• No gi submission grappling.
• All submissions are legal.
• ADCC format: https://adcombat.com/adcc-rules-regulations/
• ADCC rules: http://www.adcc-official.com/rules.html**We HIGHLY suggest everyone attend the rules seminar at the venue on Friday at 5pm, to fully understand the ADCC ruleset.
• Single elimination, with the exception that those who lose in the semi finals will compete for third place.

Match Lengths

6 minutes (first 3 minutes do not have points).

All finals matches will be 8 minutes (first 4 minutes do not have points).

Coaches

1 free coach pass per every 5 students registered from that same academy, minimum of 5 students. Example:

0-4 competitors: No coach pass
5-9 competitors: 1 coach pass
10-14 competitors: 2 coach passes

And so forth.

All other coaches will have to buy a spectator pass.

Spectators

Tickets can be purchased at the door for $20/day, or $50 for all three days (Open and Trials). Anyone age 6 and older must have a spectator ticket.

The Las Vegas Open and West Coast Trials are separate events. Open competitors will need to purchase a spectator ticket for Trials if they want to attend Trials. Trials competitors will need to purchase a spectator ticket for the Open if they want to attend the Open.

For Trials competitors who do not make it into the Sunday rounds, as long as you still have your wristband on, you will not need to purchase a spectator ticket to watch on Sunday. If you lose your wristband then you will need to pay for spectator entrance.

Not Allowed At Any ADCC Events

Close outs: Teammates, friends, etc not having a real match if they meet in a bracket.

Doing this may result in a permanent ban from all ADCC events, even on the first offense.
